Think seders are only for Passover? Think again!
We’re having a TU BiSHEVAT SEDER!
Tu BiShevat (literally the 15th day of the month of Shevat) celebrates the birthday of the trees – in modern times connected with rejoicing in nature and environmental awareness.
Since we are doubling the fun with two holidays in one, we are combining two congregations – Temple Beth-El and Congregation B’nai Jacob for this wonderful evening. Our seder poems and songs will be interspersed with our Shabbat prayers and songs, all led by Rabbi Hachen of Temple Beth-El and Cantor Dubrow of Congregation B’nai Jacob.
What would a seder be without food? The foods for a Tu BiShevat Seder are naturally the fruits of the trees. Come prepared to sip grape juice, munch on olives, peel an orange, chew on dates, and pop a raisin or two along the way.
Open to the community. All ages welcome. Come and Enjoy!
