Sanctuary
B’nai Jacob’s sanctuary seats over 150 in comfortable, cushioned pews. Congregants face the Bimah with Torah reading desk and Ark. Six beautiful stained-glass panels featuring Jewish themes and icons provide visual inspiration to worshipers. The sanctuary is air-conditioned to assure comfort during the warm months.
Banquet Hall
Our large banquet hall with a wide, raised curtained stage provides an attractive environment for events, simchas, lectures, concerts, etc.
Class Rooms
Four well-equipped class rooms provide space for educational activities, small meetings, etc.
Library
We’re proud of our library of Jewish texts which may be borrowed by members.
Kitchens
B’nai Jacob’s two kitchens provide kosher preparation facilities for Onegs, Kiddushes, or special events such as congregational dinners, celebrations, etc. for members or the Hudson County Jewish community as a whole. Please contact the synagogue office for information about availability and rental rates.
Parking
We’re the only congregation in Jersey City with on-site parking for more than 40 cars. During peak attendance periods, such as the High Holy Days, Bar/Bat Mitzvot, weddings, or other simchas, additional parking is available on West Side Avenue adjacent the synagogue.
